Volunteer for Rocket Dog Rescue
Volunteers are the key to our ongoing success. You can help fulfill Rocket Dog Rescue’s mission of a truly no-kill community for homeless and abandoned dogs in the Bay Area.
We have a number of different volunteer opportunities ranging from fully remote roles to in-person opportunities at our facility in Oakland or helping out at our mobile adoption events.

Please note: Volunteers at our sanctuary in Oakland must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have written permission from a parent or guardian. Volunteers under the age of 16 are always welcome to help out at our adoption events!

Neighborhood Adoption Events
We love working with members of our community to organize pop-up adoption events in local neighborhoods. You bring the connections, we bring the dogs!

Youth volunteers are welcome!
- 15-17 years old: parent/guardian must sign volunteer form at orientation.
- 14 years and under: parent/guardian must sign volunteer form AND stay on premises of event during volunteer time.
