"I started volunteering in 2015 at adoption events. I’ve done many things with Rocket Dog including transport; gathering donations; fundraising; washing dishes, cleaning kennels and socializing with the dogs at our sanctuary. My primary role is an administrative one and I currently help manage the website, social media, and our database.

The best thing that has happened to me because of Rocket Dog, besides the obvious amazing feeling of saving dogs and being part of the solution, is two-fold.

Firstly, I have made wonderful friends. One of them I consider one of my besties and I never would have met her were it not for RD.

Secondly, meeting and adopting the best dog ever! One afternoon after a huge corporate event, Pali asked me to foster "for one night" a young Pit Bull. Coincidently, I had been on the look-out to adopt a dog, but it was “never going to be a Pit Bull”. Readers can guess the rest, because not only did I adopt Bosun after one night, I am now a huge advocate for this much-maligned "breed". - Marianne, Rocket Dog Volunteer
