Otto (formerly known as “Lu”) has been loving his forever-home with us for almost a year now. He was around four or five months old when we adopted him in May of 2009, and has since grown into a larger and more confident version of his curious and clumsy self (though he’ll never grow into his ears!). He loves his older sister, a Jack Russell Terrier, and is always excited about going to play with his friends at Downtown Dogs daycare several times a week. Dad takes the pups to the dog park on weekends, and Mom and her dog-walker friend set up play-dates and group walks during the week; Otto doesn’t mind being spoiled like this at all.
His life prior to being an RDR foster is a mystery, and while Otto has always been a little submissive and wary of new people, we’ve been working hard to build his confidence and expose him to lots of positive experiences. Because of his awesome personality, he’s doing great: he’s been a star in his obedience classes, is steadily overcoming his insecurities, and has really come out of his shell.
Thank you, Rocket Dog! We can’t sing your praises enough!
